Kaizen Primary School is a caring and safe place to learn and thrive. We are an outstanding primary school in East London where children and adults thrive in their learning, well being and sense of belonging. The Kaizen team has very high expectations of themselves and all children make great progress regardless of their starting points.
Our very special school deserves a special name - hence Kaizen. It's a Japanese word which means taking small steps for great improvement by working hard every day. Our Educational Visits, residentials and curriculum experiences bring learning to life for all curriculum areas. We teach French from our nursery and have an incredibly strong PE and sports offer as well as strong Subject Leaders for all subjects who ensure we have a wonderful curriculum that Broadens Horizons and Raises Aspirations. Our Future Me element of our curriculum, strives to give even our youngest learners the opportunities to learn about the world beyond school and home and to think about what their future may hold for them.
Learning is at the heart of everything we do at Kaizen. Our knowledge and skills rich curriculum and our amazing outdoor space which includes a wonderful Forest School, large playing field, onsite library and large covered ball court for all year round outside activities, ensures all children are prepared for their journey ahead. We have a big focus on wellbeing which runs through all our learning. We are a Thrive Ambassador school, our pedagogy is research based and our whole team has exceptional professional development. We are always in the learning zone, providing supportive feedback and challenge, which ensures we create a psychologically safe culture for all.
